Customized Vaccination & Health Program

Fullmer Calf Ranch uses a customized vaccination program designed to support low mortality, healthy growth, and long-term performance. Regular sampling and advanced diagnostic methods, including proteogenomic testing and Whole Genome Sequencing, help identify pathogens and their specific genotypes or strains. This information helps guide a vaccination program tailored to the calves we raise, regardless of breed.

In addition to standard viral vaccines for BVD, IBR, BRSV, and PI3, our program includes:

• Mycoplasma bovis: Multivalent vaccination using multiple unique strains

• Respiratory pathogens: Combination protection against Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Histophilus somni, and Bibersteinia trehalosi

• Salmonella: Multiple serovars, including S. dublin, S. infantis, S. meunchen, S. montevideo, and S. uganda

• Pinkeye: Protection against both Moraxella bovis and Moraxella bovoculi

Several antigens used in our custom vaccines are not available in commercial vaccines and are made exclusively for Fullmer Calf Ranch's program by Genova Labs. This customized approach is designed to reduce antibiotic treatments, lower mortality, reduce chronic cases, and support faster, more consistent performance at the heifer ranch.
